My May Wish List! Now I don’t expect to get/buy all of these things, but these are just things I really loved so far this month. But if I do receive any of these, I would expect it to be from family… the reason why I’m posting this is because the stuff on here is pretty dang awesome! Anyways, peruse and tell me what you like! I might just do one of these for every month!
Happy first day of May! I got some new swag to celebrate my favorite month! And today is a Wednesday, my favorite day… how perfect? There is going to be A LOT going on for me in the next couple of weeks. This month I finally get a car… yeah yeah, I know, I’m late. But I didn’t really need it before now. Also… I get to see Taylor Swift live! Ahh! I also just ordered a new Debit Card from Chase that has Cinderella’s Castle on it…. It should be coming in, in a few days <3 (Cinderella and Rapunzel are my favorite princess, just fyi. Lol). AND, I’m starting a brand new audio podcast which I’ll post on my here and I’ll put links to it on Facebook. Super excited for that.
Also, my first year of college ends this month! What?! That was fast! At the end of this month I have to make a decision on where I want to transfer to in the fall… so that decision should be interesting. Hmm… what else is going on this month…?
Oh, duh! My birthday! Shout out to all my Gemini’s out there!
My new favorite things this month:
Essie nail polish: “Go Overboard”. Vince Camuto Perfume: “Fiori”. Versace “Perfums” White Handbag Purse. Wallet and phone case in one from Target.
I hope the title didn’t scare you. No worries, we are not going to jail… well at least not yet, according to FOX.
We hear it over and over… and over and over and over. Muslims are terrorists and they should be kicked out America. They are radicals, and that is what Islam teaches them to be. To me, all of these statements are obviously false, and I know this as a fact because, well… I am a Muslim.
One show that I have been watching almost every weekday for the past couple of years is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Last night, his first segment of the show, was just amazing. If you haven’t seen it here is the link, I would recommend you watch it before you continue to read:

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.
So, the first thing that made my jaw drop (and I think I literally shouted “WAIT, WHAT THE H**L) was when this lady named Ann Coulter stated: “I don’t care if sh-she knew about this, she oughta be in prison for wearing a HEEJOB.” So, I went and I searched for the whole interview, and I found it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-XVEwNqnh0
Then, this is her next statement after the HEEJOB one: “This immigration policy of, of you know, us assimilating immigrants into our culture isn’t really working. No, their assimilating us into their culture, d’she get a clitorectomy, too?”
The reason why I wanted to find a bigger portion of the interview was just to make sure that The Daily Show wasn’t taking anything out of context. To be honest, before seeing her on The Daily Show, I had no idea who Ann Coulter was. But in the few hours of knowing her, I can say that I truly already dislike her… a lot. I’m now going to act like I am talking to Ms.Ann, for I have a few things to say to her:
So, you think a female Muslim should be incarcerated for wearing a hijab? Yes, it is pronounced hijab. SO I’m just going to go out on a limb here and assume you believe that nuns should go to jail, because last time I checked, there were also terrorists in the Christian community. How about Sikh males for their Dastars? Should they be punished for the few radicals in their religion? And God forbid any man wearing a kippah, he may just find you, and use his “assimilating powers” to make you convert to Judaism.
My point is, no matter where you turn, or what religion you see superior to the other, there will always be terrorists. But, to focus on eliminating or alienating members of certain religion instead of understanding that the majority of the followers of that religion are peaceful people is surely a great injustice to yourself. And, as a public figure, to reflect that negative energy into the minds of thousands of Americans is a great injustice to this beautiful country.
Every religion has terrorists. But, the majority are peaceful people, a great majority. And the few that are radicals and/or crazy, are such a small minority, so small that to accuse a whole population of people acting as radicals, would surely be a foolish thing to do. For the slight chance that you may be reading this, I hope you know that saying a Muhajabah should go to jail, in some ways, makes you a radical. From the way you speak, it seems to be that you do not know a single Muslim personally. I know you have the means and connections to do so. So, I suggest you do try to meet and connect with a Muslim.
That’s all I have to say to you now, until next time (in which you say or do something ridiculous), I hope God opens up your eyes, mind, and heart to the truly diverse and beautiful world that we live in.
Now, to go back to the original video of The Daily Show’s opening segment. I would like to point out the comments of the men on “The Five” on FOX, who said that the FBI should go into mosques and be allowed to wiretap and set up surveillance. As a reply to your suggestions I would like to say… DO IT. Seriously, do it. I am not being sarcastic. I want you and the FBI to listen in on what goes on inside of mosques all over America. In fact, I encourage you, further more, I invite you to come and wiretap all of the mosques in my hometown of Dallas. Go to Houston, head north to South Dakota, come down to Florida, go to LA, and back to New York. Wiretap the heck out of the mosques in those cities, and more. For I have had the great privilege of visiting mosques all over America, and the one thing I can guarantee you, is that you will hear speeches about peace, and giving, and loving, and being respectful, and yes, even speeches about loving Christians, Jews, or any religion that Muslims may come in contact with. And then, come on to national news and tell us, tell us about the horrific, radicalistic religion that is called Islam.
P.S. That last sentence was sarcastic.
Oh my goodness. I’ve been waiting for this movie to come out for over 2 years now! The worst things about waiting a long time for a movie is that, you create so much hype in your head, but then when you end up watching it… and it’s done, you are dissapointed. OH GREAT GATSBY please don’t be one of those movies!
